Never cared much if I lived or died
but you can't say that I never tried
seems I've battled through every day
is nothing sacred these days
and death stands before me
what's done is done
may the innocent forgive us all
when I hear the piper's call
Warfare
No life for me within these desperate times
seems I'm paying for others' crimes
and if that's the way and I know it has to be
at least I know that I died freed
so ashes to ashes
and dust to dust
may the innocent forgive us all
when I hear the piper's call
Warfare
This album is an absolute banger. The riffs are especially groovy this time, the vocals are amazing, and the overall thing is supercatchy. If I'd have to list one downside, it's that the mix is so bass-heavy that the sound only truely comes into it's right when listened on good headphones or extremely good speakers. On anything less it can sound like the bass drowns the rest of the music out. 9/10 Buzzario
From the first deadened cowbell to the last dissonant guitar interval, Dutch quartet Geo's new record is shaped for impact. Bandcamp Album of the Day Apr 25, 2024
Pretty much the best Black/Speed Metal I've listened to since I learned about Evil Invaders and Vulture. Everything you'd love to be reminded of about this musical era is there. The influences are what you'd expect too: Motörhead, Venom, Bathory, early Slayer, Celtic Frost; aggressive vocals, tortured guitar solos, pounding drums; everything is fast, clear and still a little grimy, but without reverb cranked up to the max. Amazing band, amazing album. Odiumediae
