In the dead of night high in the blackest sky
therein lies an ever watchful eye
the earth it seems to shake as if to hesitate
from the sound of the approaching cry
Enter Reaper
as she comes to claim her prize
Enter Reaper
see your fate in her eyes
It's too late for you there's nothing you can do
you've had your time and your time is through
all you're left with is your wretched cowardice
fear your own thoughts as you ponder this
Enter Reaper
as she comes to claim her prize
Enter Reaper
how sweet the spell of her cries
This album is an absolute banger. The riffs are especially groovy this time, the vocals are amazing, and the overall thing is supercatchy. If I'd have to list one downside, it's that the mix is so bass-heavy that the sound only truely comes into it's right when listened on good headphones or extremely good speakers. On anything less it can sound like the bass drowns the rest of the music out. 9/10 Buzzario
From the first deadened cowbell to the last dissonant guitar interval, Dutch quartet Geo's new record is shaped for impact. Bandcamp Album of the Day Apr 25, 2024
Pretty much the best Black/Speed Metal I've listened to since I learned about Evil Invaders and Vulture. Everything you'd love to be reminded of about this musical era is there. The influences are what you'd expect too: Motörhead, Venom, Bathory, early Slayer, Celtic Frost; aggressive vocals, tortured guitar solos, pounding drums; everything is fast, clear and still a little grimy, but without reverb cranked up to the max. Amazing band, amazing album. Odiumediae
